Our Vision

As we become better equipped as disciples of Jesus we will be better enabled to make our unique contribution to the greater Christian witness in Dothan, the Wiregrass region, and the world. What might this contribution look like over time? The answer to this is summarized in what we call our vision, which includes such activities as:

We believe God’s will involves such activities as:

• Developing mature and equipped Christians of all ages through intentional discipleship (2 Timothy 2:2).
• Praying for an awakening among the lost (Mark 1:15) and revival among God’s people (2 Chronicles 7:14; Revelation 2:5).
• Inviting those around us to “taste and see that the Lord is good” (Psalm 34:8).
• Laying the groundwork for ministry to the neighborhoods around the church, as well as the city of Dothan.
• Worshiping in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).
• Partnering with like-minded churches and ministries in the Dothan area to advance the message of the gospel.
• Investing financial and personnel resources in kingdom work around the world (Matthew 28:18-20).
• Clothing ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one other and forgiving one another (Col. 3:12-14).

As we implement this vision, we will thoughtfully equip disciples in five key areas of Christian living:  (1)  Prayer;  (2)  Outreach;  (3)  Worship;  (4) Fellowship;  (5) Discipleship.
